Smooth Edges

Aging has a profound effect on people. Full-on life rushing over us year after year begins to ripen the soul. We evolve over time and in some ways become the most beautiful form of ourselves.

Like river stones that become smooth over time, life rushing over us has the same effect. We lose the jagged uneven parts that only served us in the beginning. All the unnecessary adornments that we thought were so important in our youth begin to fall away.

As time goes by we are left with the core of ourselves. The true, basic and polished version that was covered up for so many years. We begin to see and feel things like never before.

After so many years of life streaming by and wearing away our sharp edges, I love what I see. I love the softness that has been left behind on us.
